Allow users to “opt-out” of spam filtering
This option is disabled by default and when enabled, allows the users messages to bypass the
Spam filter. This user level setting would override the policy level Spam-classification settings.
Enable “Always deny” shortcut from spam quarantine report
This option is disabled by default and when enabled, the users HTML based SQR’s will have a link
called ‘Always Deny’. When selected, the sender of the message will be placed on the user level
deny list and the message will be removed from Quarantine.
Show spam score on spam quarantine report
This option is enabled by default and displays the four digit spam score on line item displayed on the
SQR.
Allow non-admin users to login directly to the Control Console
This option is enabled by default, and gives the users the ability to sign into the control console from
the sign-in page if they have the appropriate credentials.
Display message content in Safe Message View
This option is enabled by default and if a user is in their Spam Quarantine Area in their user account,
they can double-click on a message to have it displayed in its own tab. All parts of the message that
originated as plain text will be displayed. If disabled, the following statement appears in the email
body ‘Viewing of message body content in Safe Message View has been disabled by domain policy.
Display user email addresses in spam quarantine report
This option is enabled by default and displays all of the users email addresses on the SQR under the
header titled:
This report has been generated for the following email address(es): and will display the
users
Primary, User Alias and Domain Alias on the SQR. If disabled, none of the users email
addresses display on the SQR.
Allow users to configure alternate email address for spam report delivery
This option is disabled by default and when enabled, it adds a field in the individual user account
within Account Management called ‘Alternate Delivery Address. When an Alternate Delivery
Address is entered inside the users account, the users SQR will be sent to the Alternate delivery
address INSTEAD OF the Primary Users Account.
This option is very useful for email addresses for Distribution Group type of accounts. Instead of the
SQR sent to every member of the Distribution List, it is sent only to the Alternate Email address. Also
useful for executives who want their SQR sent to their administrator or assistant.
Allow users to download SpamControl for Outlook
Click the checkbox to display a link in Spam Quarantine Report header, from which users can
download the Spam Control For Outlook add-in.
6.5. Spam Quarantine Reports (SQR)
By Default, the Spam Quarantine Report frequency is every day. The criteria for a user to receive a
Spam Quarantine Report are:
A user account must exist in the Control Console for that user
